Balsamic Fig Glaze

  • 1/2 cup quartered, stemmed, dried Calimyrna figs
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4-1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon dried, minced onion (optional)
  1. Put everything in the blender, starting with the smallest amount of water. Blend until smooth, adding more water if the sauce is too thick or if the figs are not blending well. That's it! The sauce is ready to use. Store any leftovers in the fridge for up to a week. Makes about a cup.
